I picked this up for the 2 batteries included plus charger. The Lith Ion batteries alone are around $89 at most stores, so this package gave you 2 batteries, a charger, plus a drill. The "compact" part isn't really that much smaller than the regular Ryobi (Blue) drill but I didn't really care about that.
