Purchased to make 2 holes for speaker install on boat. Material was 3/4" thick, fiberglass on top of marine grade plywood. It took 20 minutes to get a third of the way through using a 3/8" drill (couldn't apply much pressure). It made a nice groove in the fiberglass, ended up using a jig saw to cut through the rest of the way (repeated the process for the second speaker).
