My 3/8 Milwaukee is over 30 years old and still going strong. I have used it in situations where a larger drill would have been preferable, and since more of those types of situations were on the horizon, I bought this model. I was not disappointed. I am glad the side handle on this guy has the extra length; it greatly improves stability when drilling through tough material. I used this drill and a 3 1/4 inch Blue Boar CT cutter to cut through two thicknesses of 2x6 Southern Yellow Pine. The Blue Boar cut almost effortlessly, powered by the big boy from Milwaukee. Man, I wish I had sprung for this drill years ago! Absolutely smooth power from the electrics, with a very responsive trigger switch.
