Save Hitachi DS14DVF3 14.4-volt Ni-Cad 3/8-inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kit

We have a regular drill, but when I saw this on the "Deal of the Day" and knew that I was going to be installing a curtain rod, I thought the cordless drill would be a good option. It's lightweight enough that I feel comfortable using it as a woman, and heavy duty enough that my husband doesn't think it should be painted pink (though we both find the green flame look pretty cool). The flashlight included is awesome - it cranks to several positions and uses the same batters as the drill, so I don't have to worry about keeping disposable batteries around for it.

The negatives:
I wish they would charge a bit more and just include a decent set of bits
Instructions for those of us who don't normally deal with drills would have been nice
And perhaps the most embarrassing negative - it was such a pain to figure out how to put everything back in the case!! Would it be so hard to just put some stickers in there or labels that would tell me how to put the jenga puzzle back together?

Overall I am quite pleased with my purchase. Having a cordless drill around is a great thing and the flashlight is used at least a few times a week. I can't comment on how good it is for professionals, but for the weekend warrior or weekend warriorette, it's perfect.Get more detail about Hitachi DS14DVF3 14.4-volt Ni-Cad 3/8-inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kit.

Discount Dewalt 18 volt Impact / Compact Drill Case

I bought this case to replace the original steel case with plastic insert that was damaged in a car accident. I am very pleased with it and was glad when I had a problem fitting the charger into the case the seller returned my call pronptly and explained how the charger must be stood on it's side instead of laying flat is in the original. It is larger and lighter too which is a nice bonus. It also has more room for accessories than the original case. I am very pleased with this purchase.Get more detail about Dewalt 18 volt Impact / Compact Drill Case.

Cheap Bosch 1194AVSRK 8 Amp 1/2-Inch Hammer Drill

For a DIYer like myself, chances are you will never encounter a job that this drill cannot handle. I would not make this my only drill though (I have a light-to-medium-duty sub-compact that I use for most jobs). I bought mine primarily for concrete drilling, but I have also used it to do things like cut holes for doorknobs. Couple this with a good set of concrete bits, and mounting stuff to a brick wall or concrete is not a problem at all (dryer vents, garden hose hangers, toilets, water heater drainage lines, etc).Get more detail about Bosch 1194AVSRK 8 Amp 1/2-Inch Hammer Drill.

Buying Milwaukee 0724-24 28-Volt V28 Lithium-Ion 1/2-Inch Cordless Hammer Drill/Driver Kit

I bought this drill to go with my Socket Jenie to make raising the roof of my Coachmen Futura popup trailer. With all the hype about the torque and warnings about using the side handle I was a little disappointed that it did not have enough torque to do the job. I ended up changing gears on our roof lift assembly and now the drill works great. In fact, now it would be a lengthy and therefore tiresome process to crank the roof up by hand. But with this drill's memory-free Lithium-Ion battery that maintains consistent power for the entire length of the charge, it is the right tool for the job.Get more detail about Milwaukee 0724-24 28-Volt V28 Lithium-Ion 1/2-Inch Cordless Hammer Drill/Driver Kit.

Buy Factory-Reconditioned Ryobi One+TM 18V Compact Drill Kit ZRP815

I picked this up for the 2 batteries included plus charger. The Lith Ion batteries alone are around $89 at most stores, so this package gave you 2 batteries, a charger, plus a drill. The "compact" part isn't really that much smaller than the regular Ryobi (Blue) drill but I didn't really care about that. All of the batteries and rill are stamped "RECON" on them.Get more detail about Factory-Reconditioned Ryobi One+TM 18V Compact Drill Kit ZRP815.

Purchase DEWALT DCD970KL 18-Volt 1/2-Inch XRP Lithium-Ion Hammerdrill

This is my second Dewalt drill...the first is probably over 10 years old. I am a farmer/rancher and bought this one for the new pole barn going up this spring. We recently put up over 400 feet of buck and rail fence over rocks along the borders. We used TimberLocs to fasten it all together and this thing worked perfectly and forcefully with the hammerdrill option...very quick. The barn will have more fasteners but with lumber that is no more challenging than what was in this fence.
This is a good unit and I can't imagine a better one.Get more detail about DEWALT DCD970KL 18-Volt 1/2-Inch XRP Lithium-Ion Hammerdrill.

Order Ryobi Tek4 5 Pc. Combo Kit 4-volt Lithium Ion Tools (Retail Package)

I'd have to agree with the other reviewer of the mobile power unit. It basically sucks. The 80 hours of standby should read more like 8 minutes. However when there is no power to be had, this thing is better than nothing. The flashlight, however, ROCKS!!! This is by far the brightest flashlight I have ever owned, and I have a lot of flashlights. It's rugged, and holds a charge very well. The rapid charger is also a plus. I like the fact that you are able to charge two batteries at the same time. Same goes for the electric screwdriver. Torquey little guy.Get more detail about Ryobi Tek4 5 Pc. Hitachi DS18DVF3 18-Volt Ni-Cad 1/2-Inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kit

I had originally bought a much more expensive combo kit made by a different company. After realizing that it overshot my demands, i returned it and got this more 'sensible' drill and light kit. Upon opening the Hitachi kit, i could immediately see the differences. The drill itself feels good in the hand, it has a good weight, but the batteries feel cheaper. The flashlight feels MUCH cheaper- clearly an afterthought. And the charger also seems cheaper: there is only one LED and it just goes off when the unit is done charging the batter. Also, unlike the more expensive "brand X" the batteries can't just sit on the charger forever, you have to remember to take these batteries off otherwise you risk damaging the batteries. Finally, there is no power indicator, so you're left to guess work as to how close you are to the end of the battery life.

In all this was a fair trade off for me. If I eventually grow into some sort of super-DIY-er, then I'll make the upgrade to much more expensive tools. Until then, I'll make do with a reasonable product at a good price.Get more detail about Hitachi DS18DVF3 18-Volt Ni-Cad 1/2-Inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kit.

Hitachi DV18DL 18-volt Lithium-Ion 1/2-inch Cordless Hammer Drill Review

This drill is a workhorse. I have purchased many Hitachi tools and found them to always be excellent buys and almost always the least expensive option in their class. Specifically, I own this drill, the 18DMR (not a hammer), and the impact drill from Hitachi. I have run them through the wringer over the last year and a half, dropped them, used them as hammers when one was not available - including beating on the battery - and I have never had one fail, lose juice, or show any signs really of the abuse I have put them through. The batteries are outstanding, recharge very quickly, and hold a charge for 12 or more hours of intense usage. I have used Dewalt, Milwaukee, and others, but their batteries just do not compare. After hundreds of hours of use, the Hitachi batteries can hold the longest charge and deliver full power like nothing. Of course, if you are trying to power through tough material (bore 1 foot deep holes in concrete, etc.) routinely with your drill, you should consider getting a corded version. However, if your goal is ultimate versatility, strength, ruggedness, power, and performance, this is the best deal going. I seriously do not think you can find a better deal for the money.

One last note. I recommend getting this drill as part of a drill set, such as with the impact driver. It will cost about $50 more, but you get a complete set, two tools, and a charger and battery for the money. Purchasing the two separately will practically double your expense, while you really only need the two batteries for the two tools. I ended up, over time, buying two cordless sets, which came with four batteries which is where most of the expense is, and then added on three more tools (without batteries and accessories). I now have 7 tools, with 4 batteries, all by Hitachi and all interchangeable. Very functional and an excellent deal, saving me hundreds over other brands.Get more detail about Hitachi DV18DL 18-volt Lithium-Ion 1/2-inch Cordless Hammer Drill.

DEWALT DC730KA Heavy-Duty Cordless 14.4-Volt Compact Drill/Driver Top Quality

I am very satisfied with the DeWalt Drill/Driver. The 14.4 Volt drill is the workhorse for our Set Construction Crew. We put on three productions a year and we have found that this drill is powerful enough to accomplish our needs from light work to repeated heavier work such as three inch screws through 2x4s. We have dropped them a few times and they have survived. Thanks for a great product.Get more detail about DEWALT DC730KA Heavy-Duty Cordless 14.4-Volt Compact Drill/Driver.

Milwaukee 0370-20 3/8-inch, 55-Degree Close Quarter Drill This instant

The Milwaukee close quarter is the best power tool I've bought in a long time. Gets the job done with power and with ease. I do agree with the guy who is getting rid of his on one score: The large trigger, which is part of what makes the tool so easy to use, can be a hazard if you're not paying attention. It is indeed very easy to activate accidentally, and especially when changing (ouch) bits. It just takes some getting used to. It's like a fine sports car--a perfect performer once you get used to its quirks!Get more detail about Milwaukee 0370-20 3/8-inch, 55-Degree Close Quarter Drill.

Milwaukee 2697-22 M18 18-Volt 1/2-Inch 2-Tool Combo Kit Immediately

Please be advised that what you are looking at and what will be shipped to you are two different things! The hammer drill is NOT the heavy duty one and does NOT have the handle! I ordered this combo kit going by the picture and it's NOT the same hammer drill. I wrote to Amazon and they had UPS come to pick it up at my house and returned it at no cost to me. So as long as you know that this is the lighter duty hammer drill and doesn't come with the handle there is nothing wrong with it. Amazon needs to change their picture so others aren't deceived by it.Get more detail about Milwaukee 2697-22 M18 18-Volt 1/2-Inch 2-Tool Combo Kit.

Milwaukee 2602-22 M18 18-Volt Cordless 1/2-Inch Hammer Drill/Driver Kit Best Quality

This drill is definitely powerful, though for big jobs I'll still break out a corded drill instead of a battery powered one.

Pros:
- powerful.
- definitely drills in concrete up to its rated hole size.
- in driver mode, the clutch is useful to keep you from over torquing.
- reasonably good value.
- good strong metal chuck.
- keyless ratchet chuck.
- Lithium Ion batteries charge quickly.

Cons:
- No side handle can make drilling in tough surfaces (concrete) a little tricky.
- No depth guide.
- Battery life is not fantastic when the drill really has to work (four or five half inch holes in a masonry wall and its time for a fresh battery). Does last all day drilling frequent small wholes in wood or drywall.

Overall this is a fantastic drill that I would recommend to anyone. Best cordless drill you'll ever need (but you'll probably still need a corded one as well for big jobs).

I needed to attach a plywood subfloor to a concrete slab with tapcon screws - this drill easily handled the 80+ holes I needed to drill for the project. Lowest Price Hitachi D10VH 6 amp 3/8-Inch Drill with Keyless Chuck

I bought this over a year ago for use during deck construction. As some other reviewers have noted, the drill does tend to strip the screw when it cams out, due to the lack of an electric brake. This tool is great for drilling holes, and OK for putting in screws. Keyless chuck is a nice addition.Get more detail about Hitachi D10VH 6 amp 3/8-Inch Drill with Keyless Chuck.

Save Milwaukee 0302-20 8 Amp 1/2-Inch Drill with Keyless Chuck

As long as you can hold on to it, this drill has enough torque to drill through almost anything...and if it can't, you should be using a hammer drill. Or dynamite. If you're drilling wimpy little holes in wood, this isn't the drill to use. At 850 rpm, it runs too slow. But if you have to drill 1/2" holes in railroad ties, swing a 3" hole saw, punch a hole through a steel plate, or drill a hole in a concrete block, this'll do the job.

The 0302-20 has been pretty well covered by other reviewers, but to fill in a couple of things that haven't mentioned...
- Power cords are available in both 8' and 25' lengths. The drill comes with the standard 8' version, but I find myself usually using the 25' one. Milwaukee 48-76-4025 Quik-Lok 25-Foot 3 Wire Grounded Cord
- If pushed back all the way, the side handle fits over some bumps molded onto the nosepiece. This effectively locks it in place. The bumps allow the side handle to be seated at 30 degree angles (30, 60, 90,120, 150, 180...) relative to the trigger. If it's not pushed all the way back, you can tighten it down at any angle. Unlike my DeWalt 115-DW236K: 1/2 Inch Heavy-Duty VSR, the chuck is smaller than the nosepiece (by 0.04", but that's enough...) so you can't easily clamp the chunk to the drill body by tightening down the handle when it's too far forward. (...although who would do anything that dumb?)

In any case, I highly recommend this drill. Although I wish Milwaukee had included a case, and not sold it separately (Milwaukee 48-55-0711 General Purpose Carrying Case for Pistol Grip Tools), it still warrants a solid five stars.Get more detail about Milwaukee 0302-20 8 Amp 1/2-Inch Drill with Keyless Chuck.

Cheapest Hitachi DS18DSAL 18-Volt 1/2-Inch Drill/Driver

Pros: Very lite and good torqe.

Cons: Battery Life, Driver clutch.

My 5 year old Craftsman needed to be replaced because of a sticky trigger. I liked the Hitachi because it was lite and had the torqe I was looking for. Plus, it was the least expensive Li-ion drill set I found. It lasted all of two days and 50 screws (#12 1 & 1/2" self tapping into 14 ga steel). I had the clutch set at 22, and the first time the clutch slipped, it stripped the gears. Plus, I would average about 20 screws per battery charge. My 5 year old Craftsman would drive twice that many screws on a single charge, and I grinded it's clutch numerous times. I drove about 200 screws with the Craftsman into 1/4" steel.

This would be a nice drill for wood working or just drilling. But for metal work, its not tough enough.Get more detail about Hitachi DS18DSAL 18-Volt 1/2-Inch Drill/Driver.

Cheap Hitachi DS14DL 14.4-Volt Lithium Ion Cordless Drill

I have not had an opportunity to use the drill on any large projects that would test the 3AH batteries full capacity, but the drill has been fantastic for the smaller projects that I have taken on. Great balance, raw torque to who laid the chunk, torque control that is surgical grade, high AH Lith Ion batteries and the four range speed control make the DS14DL the perfect choice for private or professional use. And the work light, I thought it would be more of a gimmick, boy was I wrong! The work light is the third hand we all have been looking for. I did a lot of leg-work in selecting this drill and I am 100% satisfied with the DS14DL.Get more detail about Hitachi DS14DL 14.4-Volt Lithium Ion Cordless Drill.

Buying Hitachi DS14DMR 14.4-Volt Ni-Cad 1/2-Inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kit

I can't believe I am the only review here. I have owned this drill for about two years and we have done just about everything together. We built book shelves, a cedar fence, a cedar pergola (including drilling perfect straight holes through three $100 pieces of 6 x 6 clear heart cedar), hung a wall of kitchen cabinets and every odd job you can think of. Two years and the two batteries are doing well, the light is a great feature I use all the time and the only thing that ever slowed it down was drilling with a 4" hole saw through an oak floor, but guess what, the same job slowed down a AC powered drill. This drill is my number one tool and it is fantastic and reliable. I actually returned a Makita 18v that had a defect and got this one instead. Lucky me. Heartily recommended. Sure, maybe Hitachi tools are styles like sneakers with all those wild designs, but they are really good tools. This one is a gem.Get more detail about Hitachi DS14DMR 14.4-Volt Ni-Cad 1/2-Inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kit.

Purchase RIDGID 18V Lithium Ion Fuego Drill Driver R86007 (Tool Only, Battery and Charger Not Included)

I purchased this drill from Home Depot (Home Depot actually owns RIDGID) for my dad as a Christmas gift. It came with a charger, 2 batteries, two sided driver bit, and carrying bag. I originally wanted to get him a DeWalt, but the build quality on this drill is excellent and overall it is a great drill. I think the DeWalt DC720 might be a little better overall but it uses the old battery technology. The thing that sold me most is the Lifetime Service Agreement you get with this RIDGID product if you are the original owner and register the product within 90 days of purchase. This says it all: "The Lifetime Service Agreement provides the original owner of qualifying RIDGID® Brand tools a lifetime of free replacement batteries, free service and free replacement parts subject to the limitations set forth below."

This thing is a real work horse. It's got the torque to drill through anything. Before when I needed a drill such as this, I either borrowed one or rented one. But when I saw the price I bought it with no hesitation. I've bought other Milwaukee reconditioned tools before and they performed flawlessly. This drill performs and delivers like a new one. When I knew that I had some remodel work to do I knew I had to get this knowing that I could use it without the meter running. I can also take off the angle drive and use this drill to mix tile grout and ect. This thing rocks. Where To Buy Senco 1R0004N DS200-AC Duraspin 3,300 RPM Collated Screwdriver

Read the reviews and was hesitant to buy this for the money...Let me tell you, it is a huge time saver!!! As I hold the drywall up with one hand this puts the screws in at the cyclic rate. If you aren't straight on the screws won't drive all the way but that is about 1 out of 20 screws. I go back after and sink them with my 19v. I recommend this to anyone who has a lot of screws to set. Great piece of gear! Hitachi DS10DFL 12-Volt Peak Li-Ion 2 Speed Drill/Driver Top Quality

I recently started doing some beginners woodworking and I was looking for a new drill to replace a super cheap Black & Decker that just wasn't getting the job done. I wanted a one size fits all drill, but I didn't want to pay too much and I didn't want it to be too heavy. Lithium-ion would definitely be a bonus as well. I saw the great reviews for this drill and I read that a 12V drill is good enough for general woodworking.

After using the drill, I'm very happy with the purchase. It's very light and it's great having 2 batteries that charge very quickly. It also has way more clutch settings than my old Black & Decker, which is useful. My only concern is that this is a 12V PEAK drill. It sounds like you get 12V when the battery is fully charged, but it quickly drops down to 10.8V. I hope that's powerful enough when I use it for bigger jobs. It seems powerful enough, but it slowed a little when I used it with a Kreg pocket hole jig. The pocket hole jig has a large drill bit and the drill did work, but I wouldn't say it was "easy power". I'll update the review if I have any problems going forward.Get more detail about Hitachi DS10DFL 12-Volt Peak Li-Ion 2 Speed Drill/Driver.

DEWALT DCD940KX 18-Volt 1/2-Inch XRP Drill/Driver Best Quality

I bought this drill over the DC720KA and wow, this is an insane drill. When you pick this thing up, you know you are holding onto something extremely tough and robust. The business end is all steel, the chuck is all steel, and it has two clutch rings, so you can switch from drill mode to driver mode without having to run all the way through the clutch. The 3 speed transmission is all metal and it changes with a nice solid click, I have used so many other drills with 2 and 3 speed transmissions and sometimes the only way to make them change is to squeeze the trigger a little while changing - this drill has none of that - just a solid click.

Pull the trigger and you realize just how powerful this thing is, I have used it a lot with #12 2.5" screws into studs with no pilot holes while installing shelving (which is how I killed my trusty 18v Black & Decker) and this drill just drives them home effortlessly. I am using it with the XRP NiCd batteries, although this drill has the smaller base for the Lithium Ion batteries, but that is just because I have NiCd batteries. I may buy a Lithium Ion battery when one of my NiCd batteries dies, but for now, they work great.

If you are looking for the ultimate solid 18V Cordless drill, this is it, if you want a hammer function as well, then go for the DCD950KX same drill with a hammer function.

After writing all of this, I am still considering selling this drill and getting a DC720KA as I feel the more compact drill would be more suitable for my use. This is a monster, and I really will not do it justice in the way I work, so I really just want something lighter and smaller.Get more detail about DEWALT DCD940KX 18-Volt 1/2-Inch XRP Drill/Driver.

Bare-Tool Milwaukee 2601-20 M18 18-Volt Compact Driver/Drill (Tool Only, No Battery) Get it now!

A powerful, lightweight drill and driver. Despite buying and enjoying the use of a Hole Hawg prior to doing timber framing with Timberlok screws, I relied largely on the 2601-20 to complete the project. I work with two 2601s, and recommend the purchase of this 'tool only,' and would not hesitate to buy reconditioned Milwaukee equipment.

Milwaukee has done a superb job of combining power with light weight, compactness, and battery function. I like the belt clip also.

I look forward to the drill that beats this one, but can't imagine it.Get more detail about Bare-Tool Milwaukee 2601-20 M18 18-Volt Compact Driver/Drill (Tool Only, No Battery).

I'm a remodeling contractor and use this drill EVERY day. I drive screws, drill 3/4" holes, stir 5 gallon buckets of joint compound & thin set. This drill just never stops. My subcontractors scoff when I hand this drill to them to mix heavy joint compound and then are amazed when they're done and I take it and keep working. I've had this drill for 5 years. The batteries are still good (but starting to show their age) and I usually only need to switch batteries once during the day if I'm doing heavy work like 3/4" holes with a spade bit. It's been dropped off of scaffolding, kicked and rattles around in the back of my pickup. I'll buy another one the instant this one decides it's had enough. I bought this for my tall (6'2") husband as a birthday gift since he needed a new drill to replace his old one. The only requirements he had written down were 1) Corded 2) 3/8" size and 3) Reversible. I was on my own trying to figure out what to get him. Once I decided which one to buy after much research and talking to friends, Amazon had the best deal and great delivery. He has several DeWalt tools in his shop and when I saw the positive reviews for this one, I gave it a try. He was quite shocked and impressed that I got this nice drill for him and a case to hold it in. He felt like he just wanted a 'basic drill' but loves the power on this one. He's never had a centered handle either but really likes it. Bottom line - he loves his gift! And I have several newly installed cabinets to prove it!Get more detail about DEWALT DWD115K 8 Amp 3/8-Inch VSR Mid-Handle Grip Drill Kit with Keyless Chuck.

Save Bare-Tool Makita BDA350Z 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 3/8-Inch Angle Drill (Tool Only, No Battery)

I'm an Audio/Video Installer which means I install all types of flat screen TVs, speakers, home theater systems, whole house audio, in residential and commercial properties. I have many MAKITA drills about 5. All for different purposes. Before buying this close quarter drill I considered the Milwaukee right angle drill. The Milwaukee is a great tool, just too large for my purposes. I needed something small, powerful and cordless. I climb in all kind of tight spots and sometimes a dangling cord can be a hazzard when working in a customer's home.

The Makita is solidly built, I like like the large trigger and it does the job. Makita should have supplied a rubber screw on handle it would minimize vibration. This thing does vibrate when drilling through a wooden stud. I also wish it had two speeds Slower speeds deliver more torque. If your driving screws or making small holes it works like a charm.

I bought the (tool only) because I have 3 (3amp Lithium ION batteries. Good tool. Sturdy and well built.

I'm pleased.Get more detail about Bare-Tool Makita BDA350Z 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 3/8-Inch Angle Drill (Tool Only, No Battery).

Cheapest Milwaukee 0240-20 3/8-Inch Drill

Well balanced drill with great power. Happy with the drill overall. Not really excited about the keyless chuck. Kind of diffrent than other chucks. It seems to hold ok, but almost have to use two hands to tighten. It should last along time. Overall for the money, great buy!Get more detail about Milwaukee 0240-20 3/8-Inch Drill.

Purchase Milwaukee 0234-6 Magnum 5.5 Amp 1/2-Inch Drill

My 3/8 Milwaukee is over 30 years old and still going strong. I have used it in situations where a larger drill would have been preferable, and since more of those types of situations were on the horizon, I bought this model. I was not disappointed. I am glad the side handle on this guy has the extra length; it greatly improves stability when drilling through tough material. I used this drill and a 3 1/4 inch Blue Boar CT cutter to cut through two thicknesses of 2x6 Southern Yellow Pine. The Blue Boar cut almost effortlessly, powered by the big boy from Milwaukee. Man, I wish I had sprung for this drill years ago! Absolutely smooth power from the electrics, with a very responsive trigger switch. This is the standard of the industry.Get more detail about Milwaukee 0234-6 Magnum 5.5 Amp 1/2-Inch Drill.

Shop For EazyPower 6" Hole Saw for CornHole Boards

Purchased to make 2 holes for speaker install on boat. Material was 3/4" thick, fiberglass on top of marine grade plywood. It took 20 minutes to get a third of the way through using a 3/8" drill (couldn't apply much pressure). It made a nice groove in the fiberglass, ended up using a jig saw to cut through the rest of the way (repeated the process for the second speaker). My guess is that I would have had trouble with most hole saws, just be mindful if material your drilling through is dense (think about using a more powerful drill and upgraded hole saw).Get more detail about EazyPower 6" Hole Saw for CornHole Boards.

Milwaukee 2415-21 M12 12-Volt 3/8-Inch Cordless Right Angle Drill/Driver Kit

The specs for the drill can be found a number of places. My own personal experiences are as follows:

I am just beginning to get into cabinet making as a hobby. My current project involves about 1 doz drawers mounted on glides in very tight openings. I knew that my big drill/driver and my smaller drivers would not fit so I considered the following right angle drills:

Dewalt 18v
Bosch 12v
Milwaukee 12v

I decided to buy the Milwaukee based on a number of things:

Size (it is fairly consistent in its size with no large areas to work around)
Balance (the battery balances out the head nicely providing greater control)
Power (power enough to remove 3" screws in hardwood)
Worklight (no need for a third hand installing shelf rails)

The Milwaukee balances quite nicely in the hand and does not have areas that are larger than the actual working portion of the device - unlike the Dewalt and it is rather slim overall - unlike the Bosch. This is especially noticable when working in tight areas. As a result it becomes more like a natural extension of your hand than that of a foriegn object.

I also like the variable speed trigger control and the built-in work light is perfect for placing screws in those dark corners of cabinets.

Some may complain that it only comes with one battery or the case is a soft zippered case instead of a hard case. Valid points- however consider that this Milwaukee is not meant to replace your primary drill that takes a beating and keeps on ticking, but rather to augment it like a fine precision tool for the times when beauty is needed over brawn. The battey issue was not a problem as I never used up the battery when installing the rails. Besides a complety dead battery charges in about 30 minutes and it is a L-ION type so between use refreshes are quite easiliy done with no detimental effect on the battery. A second battery can be stored in the case and the case itself is quite suitable for it purpose and how the tool will be used.

As to power - I recently had to remove some 3" screws that were set in Oak with a corded right angle drill. The Milwaukee had no problem removing them. The clutch worked great and the work light made the process a lot safer.

I am more than pleased with the tool and I am sure that I will create new projects that will allow me to take full advantage of this tools special capabilities.

Bosch PS30-2A 12-Volt Max 3/8-Inch Drill Driver Review

I bought this drill driver for my husbands Christmas gift, and it was well worth the money. He loves everything about it. Especially the ease of switching drill and driver bits. The only thing he would change is that it does need a hard molded case, instead of the soft sided one, as others have mentioned.Get more detail about Bosch PS30-2A 12-Volt Max 3/8-Inch Drill Driver.
